PROJECT COORDINATOR

InForm Design's office located near Ala Moana Center is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our highly innovative and talented team. The successful candidate will work closely with the internal and extended project team to create design and construction documents under the project architect.

EDUCATION

‍Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred. Minimum of seven years of all phases of architectural work. Professional degree highly desirable.

CERTIFICATIONS
 

  • Architectural Registration / LEED Accreditation preferred

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
 

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk, 3D modeling software tools are required for this position

  • Thorough knowledge of architectural drafting, detailing, building materials, codes, construction methods, office procures, policies and standards

  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills, with the ability to complete projects and work on time with precision and attention to detail

  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of procedures for the production of construction and design development documents

  • Conducts site visits and drafts reports following visit using knowledge of construction procedures

  • Working knowledge of related engineering principles and building codes

  • Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, confidence and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors and clients

  • Proven ability to function in all phases of project development form schematic design through contract administration

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Desire to learn, accept direction, and be mentored

  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships; both internally and externally with virtue, respect, humor and sense of personal responsibility

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Assists project architects in developing project documents for bidding and construction

  • Provides input to the design and construction schedule - ability to communicate the technical implications of design decisions

  • Responsible for the development and coordination of drawings and specifications including but not limited to: program compliance, code and agency compliance, schedule commitments, and project research

  • Coordination between clients and their staff for program requirements, drawings and specifications

  • Conducts site visits and drafts reports following visit using knowledge of construction procedures

  • Organization and direction of architectural/engineering team to execute work in an orderly, timely and organized manner

  • review of shop drawings and material submittals

  • Provision of drawings interpretations during construction

  • Advice project architect/engineer when drawings and specifications are complete and able to be issued

  • Provide support for any tasks required for the successful completion of the project

  • May be called upon to manage less complex projects
