InForm Design's office located near Ala Moana Center is seeking a Assistant Project Manager / Sr. Architectural Designer to join our highly innovative and talented team. The successful candidate will be responsible for Project and Architectural management of all phases of large and/or complex project or projects.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred. Minimum of five years extensive experience in all phases of architecture, including substantial project management experience. Professional degree highly desirable. (1-2 years of experience in project management support, preferred)
CERTIFICATION

Architectural Registration / LEED Accreditation preferred
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
-
Thorough knowledge of architectural practice, including budgeting and cost control, scheduling, planning, programming, design, specifications and working drawings; building and zoning codes; building materials and methods; and building costs.

Thorough knowledge of office standards policies and procedures; principles of personnel supervision and management

Notable knowledge of related engineering principles; construction and liability laws and professional ethics

Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to complete projects and work on time with precision to detail

Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Modeling, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Windows OS

Thorough knowledge in writing business correspondence and business development proposals

Ability to effectively manage team members to maintain positive interaction, while ensuring the highest quality, and meeting client expectations

Knowledge of Hawaii building codes and regulations, preferred
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in coordinating all assigned projects to completion on schedule within budget and to client satisfactions; maintaining job cost control

Assists in the coordination of engineering and special consultants, assists principal in selection of/and negotiation with consultants

Creation, development and implementation of design concepts

Assists in construction negotiation or bidding

Assumes responsibility for code conformity and assists in obtaining permits

Supervises field observation staff, approves payment requests and change orders; supervises review of RFI's, shop drawings and sample submittals

Prepare and modify architectural documentation and communication planning concepts with project team members, both verbally and through graphic and written reports

Confers and corresponds with client, government agencies and consultants, obtains approvals and documents meeting. Prepares correspondence and reports and maintain project records
